All application forms from Kanrin Japanese School must be filled out by the applicant (page 1-2), leaving NO empty subjects (this includes academic and occupational history, details of preparation for entrance exams, service for the army etc.). |
Personal Record |
All documents issued by the Japanese Immigration office must be filled out handwritten (page 3-4), leaving NO empty subjects (this includes academic and occupational history, details of preparation for entrance exams, service for the army etc.). |
Certificate of
Graduation |
Prepare your most recent original graduation certificate or the most recent school report.
If the school enrolment (into elementary school), which usually takes place with 6 or 7 years, did take place earlier or later than at the age of 6 or 7 years, the elementary school report may also be needed.
College or university students, that are taking a break or withdrawaled from school, need to submit a appropriate document certifying this. Furthermore the original graduadion certificate from High School (High School Diploma, A-Level certificate etc.) must also be submitted. |
** If you apply through the Immigration Control Service Center in Shanghai City, you additionaly need to submit the original receipt of the application fee, which is 30,000 Yen, issued by the Center.

These documents are required to be submitted to the Immigration Bureau if requested. Please prepare all documents as listed here:
- Certificate of Employment (in case you had a career before)
- Copy of your Passport (only for those who have one)
- Certificate of passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test or evidence of 150 or more hours of Japanese language education
(applies only to Chinese nationals, with high school as last completed school education)
- Copy of Family Register, ID card or a different document which state your place of birth
- In some cases, other documents may also be require

Important Notice

Please attach a Japanese translation of every document which is not written in Japanese. Furthermore, please include a writing, in which you describe the purpose for studying the Japanese language. |

All documents must be handwritten by the applicant. If you need to correct, do not use a correction fluid, but draw two clean lines, mark out and put your seal or sign over the part you corrected. |
3. |
All documents and data from the applicant, which are submitted to the Japanese Immigration Bureau will not be returned. However, items, that are issued only once a lifetime, such as original certificates (e.g. Graduation Certificate) will be returned as soon as the inspection procedure is over. |

Account number and the currency unit must be noted.
The credit balance on the account must be enough to cover all the costs that may incurre during the planed term of study. |

- Certificate of Employment
(Certificate stating the guarantor's job, position, and length of service)
- Tax Certificate
(stating income and the amount of paid taxes)
- Official documents that prove the relationship to the applicant
e.g. Copy of Family Register
Certificate of Residence
Certificate of Seal Registration
- Certificate of Income that states the guarantor's monthly and yearly income
- In some cases, other documents may also be required

These documents are required to be submitted to the Immigration Bureau if requested. Please prepare all documents as listed:
- Certificate of Employment
(Certificate stating the guarantor's job, position, and length of service)
- Resident Card stating all names living with the guarantor
or Alien Registration Card (Juminhyo, Gaikokujin Tourokusho)
- Seal Registration Certificate
(Inkan shomeisho)
- Official documents such as Copy of Family Register, Resident Card or authentic documents that proof a connection with the applicant.
- Certificate of Bank Balances
- In some cases, depending on the contents, they may request another documents.
