Formalities for entry to Japan

  • After your application was accepted by the Japanese Immigration Bureau, you need to apply for a passport in your country, and pay the tuition fees. We will not send you your "Entrance Certificate" and "Certificate of Eligibility" before we did not receive the tuition payment. After you received the "Entrance
  • Certificate" and "Certificate of Eligibility", please go to a Japan Embassy or Consulate in your country to apply for a visa.
  • In some cases, other documents may be required. It also may be possible that the Embassy or Consulate asks you to take an interview. It is recommended to inform yourself in the first place about the requirements. If needed you should prepare yourself for the interview.
  • If you do not apply for a visa within the 3 months after the "Certificate of Eligibility" was issued, you will never be able to apply for a visa for Japan again.
  • Please contact us and confirm us your date and time of entry to Japan. After entering Japan, please come to us immediately (if you enter Japan too early or too late, you may get in trouble with attendance rate and getting the next visa).
  • You must complete a health check (X-ray etc.)

Procedure after arriving in Japan

  • After arriving in Japan, you need to apply for the "Certificate of Alien Registration" and enter the "National Health Insurance". This is very important. But please contact us first.
  • You cannot work in Japan by doing a part-time job. If you want to work, you must apply for a permission form Immigration. This permission is issued to help only students with a high attendance rate to take a steady job. If you do a part-time job without this permission, not only you, but also your employer will be sued. So, if you wish to work by doing a part-time job, please consult us first.

National Pension Plan and National Health Insurance

  • It is an obligation to enter the "National Pension Plan", if you are student and stayed in Japan for over than 1 year. Annual charge is around 10,000 Yen.
(This is the fee for a student who is supported by remittance from overseas, without any own income in Japan)
